Come Home to Yourself

A Three-Day Year-End Retreat at Ananda Sanga

Step away from the busyness of everyday life and into a space of nature, connection, laughter and inner renewal.

This year, our year-end retreat returns to the heart of our own yoga community – a place we know and love, with a beautiful, lush garden alive with birdsong, quiet corners to pause and breathe, and a welcoming atmosphere that invites you to slow down and simply be.

Over three days, experience something a little different: an ashram-inspired retreat where the practice of yoga extends beyond the mat and meditation cushion into the way we share, interact, laugh and connect.

Expect meaningful practices, moments of stillness, spontaneous laughter, new friendships and the simple joy of being part of a community. There will be opportunities to spend personal time with our teachers, share experiences, make new connections and enjoy the kind of conversations that rarely happen in the rush of everyday life.

You don’t need to escape to a faraway destination to experience the richness of a retreat. Sometimes, the most meaningful journey begins in a familiar place — when you give yourself the time and space to experience it differently.

Three days. One community. Space to breathe, connect and renew.

Come for the yoga, meditation and inspiration. Stay for the laughter, the friendships, the garden, the birdsong and the feeling of belonging.

The retreat is designed as a three-day, daytime experience. Limited accommodation is available at the centre for those who would like to stay on-site and immerse themselves more fully in the retreat atmosphere.

Make this year-end a time to reconnect with yourself and others – and leave feeling refreshed, uplifted and connected.

Retreat Facilitators

Founders of Ananda Sanga Yoga Centre in 1991

Dr Anne (Annapurna) Combrinck (PhD)

Yoga Therapist and Senior Yoga Teacher

Anne has been teaching original, classical Yoga for many decades. She is a founding member of Ananda Sanga Yoga Centre which opened its doors 30 years ago, and still teaches 5 or 6 group Yoga classes per week – some of the original students are still there.

A Kriya Yogi, and forever student herself, she is always keen to share Yoga with those who are interested, and help guide them on their journey to self realisation.

She is also a Doctor of Natural Healing and runs a practice in Somerset West, helping people to heal the natural way.

Dr Martin (Maheswara) Combrinck (PhD)

Yoga Therapist and Meditation Teacher

Martin is a meditation teacher, mindfulness facilitator, author, and lifelong student of the inner journey.

For more than four decades, he has explored meditation, yoga philosophy, personal growth, and the wisdom traditions of the world, integrating ancient practices with modern insights into wellbeing and self-discovery.

At this retreat, Martin will lead meditation sessions, laughter yoga and opportunities for inner exploration – helping participants cultivate stillness, presence, and renewed well-being.
