Mind-Body Wellness Techniques

There are numerous mind-body wellness techniques, schools, and styles. The reason why there are many techniques of wellness is that every person learns differently. The common inner mechanism underlying the various techniques is how to still the mind of the constant thought waves. This is achieved through the eight-fold path of meditation.

We teach the following mind-body techniques to ensure optimum wellness of a person on all levels: - physical, emotional, mental and spiritual:

Relaxation
Relaxation and relaxation techniques forms the basis for mind-body wellness. One should be able to relax before you can begin to work towards wellness effectively. Relaxation is an integral part of successful mind-body wellness.

Mind Enhancement Techniques
Controlling or stilling the constant thought is important in mind-body wellness . Understanding what the mind is and how it operates is the first step in this process. Learn how to control the mind and accessing a deeper healthier state - the Alpha state. The use of biofeedback as a tool in learning mind-body wellness is explored. The use of the Healing Rhythms 15-step program is a most valuable tool.

Body Awareness
When we become aware of our bodies, we begin to understand ourselves. Body awareness and posture is important in mind-body wellness, because it helps us to identify stress and disease in the body.

Visualisation and Affirmations
It is possible to significantly reduce stress with something enormously powerful: your own imagination. Learn this art, together with the use of affirmations.

Various Meditation Techniques
Requirements for successful meditation, techniques and practices will be explored. We cover various meditation techniques, experience some of them and practice them successfully e.g.. the use of mantra, open eye meditation, mindfulness meditation techniques etc.

At the end of this Wellness Program, you will have a knowledge and experience of meditation and the various meditation practices. The techniques you will learn will be valuable aids in your daily life and at the end of the program, you will be able to choose a meditation technique or combination of techniques, to suite your requirements and preferences.
