Meditation Benefits: Physiologically, meditation has been found to reduce stress, strengthen the immune system and help in the body's healing process. During meditation, the breath and the brain waves slow down, blood pressure and metabolic rate decrease and circulation and detoxification of the blood increase.

Meditation focuses ands clarifies the mind better than any other activity. It improves creativity, concentration, mental alertness and memory. Practiced on a daily basis, it will enable you to think more clearly and positively, and to be at peace with yourself.

Laughter Yoga
Laughter Yoga (Hasya Yoga) is a physically oriented technique that uses a blend of playful, empowering and otherwise "tension-releasing" simple laughter exercises. With gentle yoga-breathing and stretching exercises, rhythmic clapping and chanting of Ho Ho Ha Ha Ha in unison a simulated laughter turns into real laughter.

A typical Laughter Yoga session lasts about 20 to 30 minutes. The session may be adapted to suit the needs, abilities and motivations of the group participating.

The Laughter Yoga method is the brainchild of Dr. Madan Kataria, a family physician from Mumbai, India who started the first laughter club in 1995. He has been the catalyst for the creation of over 5,000 Laughter Clubs in 55 countries.

Meditation
Meditation is one of the most natural and yet profoundly rewarding of all human activities. Practiced on a daily basis it produces astonishing results on all levels of being: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

Meditation is not a practice to achieve blank space or blank thought by blocking, suppressing and neglecting our concerns. It is the feeling of happiness, fulfillment, contentment and peace within when we close our eyes and integrate our body, mind and spirit. Meditation is - directing your consciousness inward - to find the source of all life's manifestations.

At Ananda Sanga, we teach beginners and more advanced meditation courses. The meditation teachings are based on those of Paramahansa Yogananda. They emphasise that every soul must seek inward upliftment and Self-Realization.

Contact us for our various Meditation Courses and Training. We also offer Corporate Meditation Programmes.
Meditation
Meditation is natural and universal and does not belong to any culture or religion, just as sleep does not belong to any group of persons. It is an innate gift and we need to re-learn this art.

Science of Ayurveda
What is Ayurveda? Ayurveda is a system of healing which evolved on the Indian subcontinent some 5000 years ago. It was established by the same great ancient sages who produced India's original systems of meditation, yoga and astrology. Ayurveda has both a spiritual and a practical basis, and according to this system of health care, we need balance and harmony in all three aspects of our lives, body, mind and spirit.

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word which derives its meaning from two roots - Ayur meaning life or daily living and Veda meaning knowledge or science. Ayurveda was first recorded in the Vedas, the world's oldest extant literature. It emphasiss that all beings come out of nature, that we are an integral part of a whole universe and therefore have a responsibility to our source. We are a microcosm, of the universal macrocosm. Therefore we need to live in ways that respect and honour our bodies and our environment to maintain health and well-being.

The purpose of Ayurveda and Yoga is to help the individual to achieve longevity, rejuvenation and Self-Realisation.
Ayurveda is the mother of all healing systems. It consists of eight principle branches, as well as many modern healing modalities including massage, diet and lifestyle counseling, herbal remedies and meditation.
